The Alumni Abroad Foundation (AAF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit expanding equitable access to global experiences for students who face financial, geographical, or cultural barriers to getting there.

Remove financial and perceived barriers to global exposure.
Getting accepted is only half the battle. For too many students, the real barrier is what comes next — the flight cost, the program deposit, the passport fee, the quiet belief that going abroad is for someone else.
AAF provides travel grants designed to close that gap — making global experiences attainable for students with financial need and a clear purpose for being there.

Going abroad involves more than booking a flight. For many students — especially those doing it without a roadmap — the process itself is a barrier: applications, cultural preparation, logistics, and the quiet anxiety of stepping into unfamiliar territory.
At AAF, mentorship is at the heart of what we're building. We connect students with alumni and professionals who've been there — providing guidance, encouragement, and real-world perspective at every stage of the journey, from first application to final reflection.

Turn lived experience into doors opened for others.
Over 80% of alumni don't feel connected to their alumni networks — yet many want to give back. They just haven't been given a meaningful way to do it.
AAF changes that. We engage alumni as mentors, connectors, and storytellers — giving them a low-lift, high-impact way to stay tied to their alma mater while actively opening doors for the next generation of students ready to see the world.
